罗廷义，号寒香斋主，生于1941年，著名书画家，资深工艺美术师。罗先生毕生攻中国画花鸟，擅写意、工笔虎画，尤以水墨葡萄见长。罗廷义先生自幼受家庭教育和儒家文化熏陶，养成发奋进取、勤学善思、虚怀若谷的谦谦君子作风。从小就懂尊师重道之礼义并将“仁义礼智信”作为人生信条处处践行。于是他的笔墨天赋和书画爱好就得到众多名师的鼓励和肯定，并愿亲手栽培这不可多得的优良苗子。比如中国水墨葡萄画大师、西南师范大学教授苏葆桢先生将他收为入室弟子精心培养，故得其老师画葡萄之真传；中国画虎大家阎松父将他视为得意艺徒尽心教导，故得老师画虎绝招；而书画奇才、蜀中“美猴王”周北溪大师更是视他为青年才俊之表率而加以重点引导。使他成为书画多面手之姣姣者而稳步中国画坛。
