一代奇才 张国常
从古至今,神州大地都属“藏龙卧虎”之地。世外高人,奇才异士时有出现,故有“高手在民间”的谚语。比如今天要介绍的这位张国常老先生,就是一位地道的深藏不露的盖世奇才。
博学多才 低调行事
张国常,生于1938年,四川(今重庆)合川人氏。资深画家,美术教育家,文艺杂家,建筑设计家,康养专家等。
张国常1955年初中毕业后考入四川美术学院附中就读,四年毕业后又继升美院本科学习。因各科成绩优异,成为当时四川美院的高材生。八年的刻苦攻读与艺术熏陶,使他成为出类拔萃的艺术顶尖人才。毕业时便受到多家艺术院校及学术机构争相聘请。然而,由于天性使然,他并不喜欢机关院校那按部就班的生活状态,于是他毫不犹豫地都一一谢绝或婉辞了。他向往的是民间基层简单朴素的生活。也钟情于激烈而刺激的竞争之道。这期间,他辗转于印刷厂,美术公司,展览馆,装饰公司,建筑设计院等诸多基层单位。后又从事专业或业余的包括绘画创作,美术理论,建筑装饰学等在内的广义艺术教学。虽然条件艰苦,工作繁重。但他却干得津津有味,兴趣斐然,样样都干得很出色。这也使自己得到全方位锻炼。使他成为博学多才、技艺全能的多面手人才。一时间艺徒遍四方,桃李满天下。他常对学生们说:“要知行合一,读万卷书不如行万里路。”于是利用假期和闲暇之日带领学生游历名山大川,与大自然亲近对话,看龙涧风回、万壑松涛;观鹫峰云敛、千年佛造,领略大自然之天公造化与神奇壮美!以提升自己与学生的艺术鉴赏能力与感性素质。
几十年下来,张国常默默奉献、低调生活,看似为生存之道、养家糊口而辛勤奔劳,实则为创新突破而八方求索,多面积累,更是为追求艺术精髓而孤独奋进,特立独行。
追求完美、独善其身
随着商品社会的到来,在经济大潮的冲击下,一些人失掉自我,将艺术品也当作纯商品招摇过市,为单纯追求经济利益而陷入“一切向钱看”的泥潭。一时间艺术的低劣化、粗陋化、功利化、庸俗化甚至变态化现象泛滥成灾。在这名利争夺、人心浮躁、国学示微、道德滑坡的大背景下,而他,张国常,为了艺术的纯洁与神圣,自觉地走向内敛清净、独善其身的隐逸之路。古人曰:“小隐隐于野、大隐隐于市。”他圣洁的灵魂与内心的独白融合,促使他自然而然地成为一代“隐才”。这期间,他拒绝一切沽名钓誉的艺坛炒作,拒绝一切名不符实的浮夸举措;拒绝一切虚头巴脑的名号诱惑;甚至拒绝一切媒体的采访报道……,成为当今一位名符其实的隐贤志士、“世外”奇人。这一切,都是为追求自身与艺术的完美而独善其身啊。
然而是金子,埋藏再深终究都会发出光芒被人发现的。他多年潜心钻研的关于欧式建筑之创新设计,就被同行人士发现并迅速传播开来,得到中外业界普遍叹服与赞赏,甚至高度评价说:张先生的创新设计已达到承前启后、臻于完美的高超境界。他的设计,既保留了原汁原味的欧风典雅,又富含东方建筑的美学神韵,既造型豪迈大气又稳重内敛,看着让人叹为观止又耳目一新(如图)。只有造型艺术功底扎实深厚、美学理念优化升级的开创性设计,才能达到如此惊艳动人的程度啊。
落叶归根、返璞归真
由于过人本领被人发现,他周游世界时被欧洲多国挽留聘请。他多年的英国生活,本来过得很舒适享受,但他却是足行千里不忘初心,内心始终有一缕思乡情愫难于割舍。这种情愫是朴实的也是真切的,即对祖国山河无时无刻的回味和对故土乡情无时无刻的眷恋,竟使他虽养尊处优却还寝食难安;虽名利双收却又思绪万千。于是他又毅然决然踏上归途,回到他阔别多年的老窝——成都。这也是“落叶归根”这一传统观念在张老身上的真切体现吧。
回到成都,除继续他的对艺术道路的开拓进取外,还着重于对康养之道的身心体验。他现今虽已是八十多岁的高龄老人了,但却养生有道,保健有方,他至今仍耳聪目明、神清气爽;身板硬朗、活力四射。既无三高(高血压、高血脂、高血糖),也无三低(低食欲、低睡眠、低记忆)。宛如四五十岁的健硕壮年人。这自然就引来无数老人前来取经问道,他往往和颜悦色地说道:“养身贵在修心,修心即提升品性、净化灵魂。心纯正而气血顺、气血顺而病难存,身体就自然而然康健啦!”

自序曲
我出生于旧中国,成长在新时代,孩提时莫名的随处墙地涂鸦。1952年初中毕业,时逢建国初期的教育改革,大中毕业生按国家需要统一分配升学或就业:我读过财经,当过休学社青,还学过邮电。1955年作为“奋青”,终于二进宫走进四川美术学院附属中等美术学校,儿时的梦想变成了现实,从附中至专科转本科,寒窗八年结束了学生生涯,一下成了国家干部辗转干印刷厂、美术公司、展览馆、建筑设计院装饰公司等单位就职。包装装璜设计,展览制作,广告宣传,课堂美术教学,建筑装饰等等,都是我的职业。教书,当然是美术,教素描,教色彩,业余专业都教过。前前后后,差不多十几个年头,1998年年迈退休。退休耶?实为退而不休,与时俱进、混入经济时代新行列,有缘英国建筑的影响,专做欧式建筑外立面的装饰和构件产品设计,一做就是二十多个年头。我对美术的爱,这种根深的情结难以割舍,近三十个年来没动画笔,要说美术界已经离我其远,它把我界在了圈外。因为爱,我回首往夕.时时翻翻“成年老迹”,渐渐萌生了一个念头:总结人生,我从哪里来?做了些什么?再往何处去?我回望自己,翻出画页,加上建筑图稿,做册个人档案,是总结,是纪念,是我的岁月记忆,它记录了我的生活,我的心,我的爱----爱自然,爱人,爱水,爱山,爱石,爱树,爱景,爱物,爱那有生命与无生命的世间万物。这是多么美妙的心魂荡漾。似水珠的生活点滴,慢慢聚集,将汇成涛天江河,浩瀚湖海。生活之美就是那水之点点滴滴,平平淡淡,就是那点点滴滴,平平淡淡汇成了人间之美,聚成了人间真情。

当我听说张老师要出书:包括他的美术作品和建筑设计。一本他的相关作品专辑的那一刻,甚感惊喜!这是几年前闲聊时提到过的同时也做了不少工作。特别是欧式建筑设计,这是在书店里根本无法找得到的设计资料。几年前的当时,正值张老忙着办理移民英国,此事因此搁置了下来。几年后的今天,老师回来了,回来要把多年前的愿望实现,这期盼竟然在不经意中实现了,老师默默地做了大量的工作,同时我也明白老师的用意和心思。
老师年近八旬,做人做事低调。看过老师年轻时代的美术作品,不管是素描,色彩,使人耳目一新,形式功夫兼具,这样你会明白,再看他的欧式建筑设计,你就知道了美术和建筑(特别是欧式建筑的关系。老师博学,绘画建筑都狠下功夫,追求唯美,精益求精。特别是欧式建筑在中国恐怕老师是最认真研究,最认真实践的不多的践行者了。老师常说做学问要知识广,要“读万卷书行万里路”。因而老师遍行世界,实地观察研究各国各地的建筑,亲自掌握第一手资料,因此在他的欧式建筑设计中不难看出“原汁原味”,既保留了经典也赋予了建筑新的活力,既有点自我,还有一点中国味。
此专辑问世,留下老师的毕生心血,是追求,是成果。我匆忙撰写,与老师相遇十数年,几多往事,难以言表。视大厦外墙那丰富优美的装饰造型,是历史,是故事,是雕塑,是凝固的音乐,是宏伟的艺术工程,那么稳重,那么内敛,那么的充满了几多美丽和无限的生命力!

科学和艺术是人类社会进步的两种重要因素,艺术是精神,科学是物质。艺术使人精神焕发,而艺术又种类繁多。艺术由形式和内容组成,于是又有了舞蹈、戏剧、文学、音乐、美术、建筑等等的形式类别的区分。艺术是什么?艺术是在一定内容下的不同形式的表现,同一内容可有繁多的形式,正因为这样,可以说艺术是“有意味的形式”,这有“意味”就提供了艺术家极大的想象和发挥空间,于是形式又成了艺术创作的重要因素,个性在艺术创作中也就成了必然要素。不同艺术可以表现同一内容,同一首歌用不同人的演唱都会使人欢爱,不同的艺术家也就应该有不同的个性和风格,所以形式美也就成了艺术表现的重要环节,形式探索也就成了艺术家终身的追求。我在艺术实践过程中,研究形式,学习前人,综合借鉴,多种尝试,尽可能“百花齐放”,风格不是特定,形成也是漫长的过程,是先天的个性和后天的学习演变而成,风格不能刻意制造,当然艺术追求无止境,只要明白了道路的方向,努力往前走,耗尽毕生经历,走多远算多远。艺术的成就与否不是有了愿望就可以达到,而是“天时地利人和的因素总合”。综观我的这些作品,绘画、建筑都在干学习前人,慢慢探索,不为求利,潜心静气,变换形式,往前走别回头。
